Bucks Fizz

So I didn't want to do a Keith Flloyd and get too squiffy on champers whilst preparing dinner. And MIL doesn't really like dry sparkling so we had bucks fizz instead. Yum. As it was Christmas we used freshly squeezed orange and clementine juices for an extra festive edge.

For one bucks fizz you need:
1/4 cup fresh juice
dry sparkling white wine
Star sprinkles

Put the wine in a champagne glass and top up with juice. Dust with sparkly star sprinkles and quaff. Lush.

Inuagural Post

For the first drink we need to start with probably the 'go-to' drink of them all, beer. And if we are starting with beer then it needs to be one of the best. Now inevitably many will disagree but for the moment it has to be Morland's Old Speckled Hen, brewed in Suffolk. A perfect balance of malt and bitterness. Smooth and, even though 5.2% alcohol, very quaffable.
So raise a glass to Christmas and have a happy holiday.

Welcome

This started as a joke, but given that the url wasn't taken and I like booze, here it is. I shan't be blogging a post everyday, but maybe once a week on drinkies. Contributions from anyone else who fancies guesting are most welcome!
